HIT OR MYTH: BIRTH CONTROL PILLS CAN BE TAKEN INDEFINITELY
Posted on: August 04, 2017
As long as you are healthy, birth control pills can be taken for as long as you need right until you hit menopause. This also applies to combination and progestin-only birth control pills for women who are nonsmokers and progestin-only birth control pills for younger women who are smokers. However, if you're 35 and above or have certain medical conditions such as blood-clotting disorders, it is not recommended for you to be on birth control pills.
